Monday 5/23

Today I woke up and had peanut butter apples for breakfast. My kidneys
haven't quite healed yet. Then I played a round of backgammon,lost; played
5 card draw to 21 points, won, then played gin rummy and won. I played
all these games with Adam. This is what Adam thinks of my backgammon in
haiku form: when Danny plays backgammon; sorrow is soon to follow; boo ho
ho ho ho.

Dad saw something gray in the water and we went up to the bow and saw a
mother and baby and father dolphins. They weren't as cool as the pod we
saw earlier or the pod we saw crossing the Atlantic, but they were cool.
Another sea creature we saw was a Portuguese Man 'O War. They come up out
of the water and ride the wind with their sail (top or dome). Dad wants me
to write a haiku and so I will write one about Adam losing a lot of
different games today: Adam won one game; Dan beat Adam by two games; poor
poor Adam.
